2002

Co-founders Rene Sugo and Andy Fung launch Symbio Networks in Sydney Australia, predicting that VoIP will soon replace legacy communication technologies.

2004

VoIP grows rapidly across Australia and the world. Rene and Andy launch their own retail VoIP business - MyNetFone - riding a wave of industry change.

2006

MyNetFone floats on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX: MNF). In time, MyNetFone will become the MNF Group, including Symbio.

2008

Symbio helps launch Skype in the Australian market, the first global communication provider to leverage our network. VoIP calling is now mainstream.

2014

Over several years, international names like Google, Twilio, Dialpad and Ring Central would soon come to use Symbio as the backbone for their own localised services in Australia.

2018

Symbio completes its New Zealand network and is approved as an NZ Carriage Service Provider. Symbio customers can now access a full suite of NZ carriage capabilities including call termination and number porting.

Today

Symbio announces the completion of its network build in Singapore. The official launch is scheduled for late 2021.

Once launched, Symbio will provide RSPs, UCaaS and CPaaS providers with a single multi-regional network for call termination, numbering and porting.
