Symbio extends cutting-edge digital experience capabilities in Singapore

April 30, 2025

Symbio Holdings Limited, part of the AussieBroadband Group (ASX: ABB), has launched a new API stack in Singapore, further advancing its mission to efficiently deliver streamlined and scalable digital experiences for communication service providers across APAC. This builds on January’s roll-out of Symbio’s market-leading Connect Portal in Singapore, a customer-centric, self-service platform that facilitates comprehensive and seamless number management.

Fast and accurate number management is essential for a smooth digital experience, augmenting Symbio’s future-ready Tier 1 network that supports cloud-native communications at scale. With the rollout of the V4 API stack alongside launching the Connect Portal in Singapore, service providers can now access a streamlined process of bulk number ordering and reservation, and lease and assign numbers to SIP trunks in one workflow. These capabilities give service providers more control and greater transparency across their number management operations.

This latest development allows customers to have greater autonomy, allowing them to choose between self-service access via the Connect Portal or utilising the APIstack. Service providers can also significantly reduce any risk of error or delay.

Symbio’s enhanced offerings in Singapore are the latest in a series of innovation milestones across APAC, strengthening the brand’s standing as a leading provider in the region. From unlocking access via SIP connectivity to local Series 6 and Series 3 numbers, facilitating high-volume number portability and supporting emergency services, Symbio’s infrastructure has been built with service providers’ evolving needs in mind.

Past regional innovations include launching the SEA Regional Hub to allow for access to multiple domestic networks (e.g. Singapore and Malaysia) via a single point of interconnect, and SIP Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Real-time Transport Protocol (SRTP) to add greater security for voice communications. Symbio also led the launch of Microsoft Teams enterprise solution Operator Connect, which enabled businesses to connect to the public switched telephone network (PSTN), as well as the Cloud Connected PSTN (CCP) to support Cisco’s Webex Calling across the region.

“By combining Tier 1 infrastructure with flexible tools set to scale with the industry, Symbio delivers the first consistent number management experience across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, allowing local service providers to scale communications with ease,” says Dylan Brown, CEO of Symbio’s Connect Division. “We’re proud to be the trusted APAC partner that simplifies connectivity, compliance, and customer experience, with Singapore now seeing a first-of-its-kind solution, we’re setting a new benchmark for automation, transparency, and regulatory-ready number provisioning across the region.”

With a unified approach to number management and a commitment to continuous innovation, Symbio is setting the standard for service providers across APAC by delivering future-ready solutions.
